The hands-on skills practice and testing session are conducted in-person with a Certified Instructor. Upon successful completion of both the online and hands-on portions of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years. Who should take this course?

These courses are intended for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.

What does the course teach?

The Community Level of Basic CPR/AED and/or First Aid Course has been updated to reflect new science in the most current guidelines update for CPR in Emergency Cardiovascular Care and for First Aid. This course is designed to prepare students to provide first aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner.

This is Basic First Aid, CPR, AED blended learning course and is designed to teach students the cognitive information needed for first aid, CPR, and AED training.

Upon successful completion of BOTH the online topics and hands-on portions of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years in the topics completed.
