AHA ACLS Renewal Course
You need to study the American Heart Association 2015 ACLS book and guidelines. **A CURRENT ACLS Provider card must be submitted prior or at the time of course. The recertification/update course is for students who have a current ACLS cards only. **The 2015 AHA ACLS Provider Manual is the REQUIRED textbook. EACH PARTICIPANT must have a current edition of this textbook in their possession before, during and after the course. If you arrive at the course without a current Provider Manual, you will be required to purchase a copy at that time. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS.
AHA’s ACLS Course has been updated to reflect new science in the 2015 American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care. This course builds on the foundation of lifesaving BLS skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR.
This advanced course highlights the importance of high-performance team dynamics and communication, systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS).
