What is Blended Training?

Blended training combines the convenience of online learning with a shortened practical skills session in order to meet both knowledge and skill objectives for learners. The blended training approach works well for classes that include an evaluated physical skills component. Using an online learning platform to meet knowledge objectives provides flexibility and self-control for the learner and convenience and cost savings for an organization or employer.

This specially designed Web-based learning system allows for a variety of sensory interactions to provide users with a low-stress, easy to use, and convenient way to learn cognitive information.

*It is important to note that students must successfully complete both the online and skills portions of blended training. Completion of the online portion alone will not result in certification.

Online Courses (part one)

To successfully complete the online course, students must complete all of the lessons for each class, including the related quizzes. Check marks indicate which lessons and which classes have been completed. When finished, the student will have the capability of printing the required completion certificate for the online course to bring to your skills session. All classes and payments can be set up by e-mail.

Skill Sessions (part two)

Skill practice sessions can be conducted for groups or for individuals. Individuals can also challenge the skills session in order to receive certification.

The basic format for each skill segment is:

  • Identify skill for practice
  • Time for students to practice the skill
  • Perform whole demonstration of skill
  • Wrap up; ask for and briefly answer any questions

*Instructors must assess for competent performance, without assistance, for each Skill in order to issue certification.

Certification Cards

Certification cards are issued at the time of successful completion of both online course (part one) and Skills Sessions (part two) with an instructor.
